my assignment for everyone reblogging a piece of art is to do the absolute bare minimum and verify its source with an actual click. if the OP is not the artist, then the caption should contain a link. if there is no link, or the link does not lead to an actual gallery or portfolio (or other information, if the artist is deceased), then either pass it up or do a reverse image search and provide a link yourself when you share. a caption with just a name is not enough anymore. "credit to artist" and "source: pinterest" was never enough.
almost every time i have called out an ai generated image put on my dash by a mutual, i either simply had to reverse image search it or follow the info in the caption to another midjourney feverdream gallery. no esoteric knowledge of anatomy or "how to spot ai artifacts" required.
i am serious. if you actually care about supporting artists and avoiding ai-generated images this is not an option. now is the time to stop going "ooh pretty" and slamming that reblog button on reflex. now is the time to actually start forming an emotional connection with the art you view again, even if that connection is as minimal as knowing who made it.
I do not repost things often to keep this blog visually clean but, yeah please do double check sources of any art.
Curious, do people who play gacha games give any kind of shit about archiving the game itself? Or do they accept that the company running the game just takes their money, lets them play for a handful of years, and then fucks off?
I know I grew up playing MMOs and that has just. Been a part of the experience of playing them, but at least a lot of MMOs that have gone defunct have had a sort of revival and archiving effort perpetuated by dedicated fans.
I don't know if we'll ever see that with any kind of mobile gacha app.
And even with a lot of MMO revivals or legacy servers or rebuilds, I don't see a lot of options for playing the game entirely offline, rather, the ability for a player to experience as much as they can without the inherent need for other people to be involved. I know it defeats the purpose of the MMO, but in any case where the servers have to go offline (whether temporarily or for good), archiving isn't worth much if it can't be accessed without the need for them.
I dunno. Just having some thoughts about game preservation because I'm just very acutely aware of the passage of time rn.

No one wants to admit this but you don’t actually have to eat eggs and dairy for breakfast. Farmers just did that because they’d milk the cows and collect eggs in the morning. You can literally make a sandwich or a bowl of pasta or really anything you want for breakfast. There isn’t some medical reason you have to eat cereal and milk or fried eggs in the morning—our idea of “breakfast food” is an entirely artificial construct. Do what makes you happy.

quick notice: the I-Fan Gamerch wiki has been taken down. Alot of the game’s archived information has now been lost. My source for most of my game information is now gone, and I must search elsewhere for new additions.
There was some preservation made, only two website additions where made to the Wayback Machine. One on October 25 of 2022, and another in April of this year.
Things like card data, event gacha, event release dates- I will have to look on twitter or other blog websites for this information. I am not sure how much information I can share about gameplay now that this site is gone, I will have to rely on those that have posted about the game in the past.

Post January Update
Greetings, salutations, and good morrow, to anyone coming across my blog! I have to apologize for the lack of content, I’m sorry I couldn’t keep my promise of uploading on Youtube last January. I think it hurts me quite a bit, since it was a goal I set for myself to complete, and couldn’t keep. If anyone feels the same, thank you for understanding.
What I have said in my last update will remain true sparse is the best way to describe this account’s future activity. I will be archiving my own discord server later today, with no notice to everyone inside, as there is no activity. I have been so busy with my actual life, and with a lack of people who are interested in this game- I have begun to lose interest myself.
That’s not to say, I won’t ever update or post- it just won’t be what I had planned originally.
There’s a few videos I have in mind, I would like to post, but again, I can’t make any set dates with my schedule. If anyone has a specific song and unit request, please share in tags or direct message me, maybe we can work something out.
Those wondering what’ll be next for the blog, if and when it will get updates:

-Documenting the development and gameplay
and lastly: Translating the story, events, and character quotes. This specifically will be more than I can do on my own, but something to work at in the future.

Update
Sorry for the lack of updates! I am not a dead account, I promise. I have been doing a lot of stuff outside of gaming, and I didn’t think I needed another break so soon.
Updates here will, from now on, be sparse unfortunately. I will continue to translate the game when I feel I can, I will prioritize YouTube uploads however. This is much more work than I expected, but I haven’t lost my drive to continue with archiving this game and, it’s information.
I have a new phone with a better graphics card- so I will take time to re-record what I have already uploaded- or at least, remake some videos. I will plan to upload more in December weekly and/or more! For now, I have recorded other game play to upload, and it’ll go up starting on the 10th of this month.
I am not as active on Tumblr, but again, my Discord and Youtube is much easier to access- which you can reach via my contact.
